Self-proclaimed All-knowing 'Avatar' made many false claims
Preposterously, Sathya Sai Baba has even promised that the entire world will be Hindu in 2036!

VHP’s leader Singhal Reported " The VHP leader, while disclosing his discussion with Satya Sai Baba, said that Sai Baba had informed him that between 2020 and 2030 the whole India would be of Hindus and after 2030 the whole world would be of Hindus”. (if unavailable see scan here) Sai Baba said: “Very soon, the entire world will be united. In fact, after 28 years, the world itself will become “Bharat”. Everyone will call themself a Bharatiya (one imbued with godliness — Bhagavat rathas). No one will refer to themself as belonging to this state or that state, this region or that region.” (Divine Discourse, Nov 23, 1978 - see here)

Sathya Sai Baba's belief that "everyone loves Me" is extremely far from the truth! Did he really imagine in his intense, protected, narcissism that those who have been deeply abused by him and let down by him in a massive abuse of the truth and of faith actually love him? Or the 5 billion-plus people who have heard nothing about him? Moreover, Sai Baba had vastly exaggerated ideas about his reputation:-

Sai Baba's unsupportable and absurd claims about being world famous?

In the days ahead, the whole world will be obliged to come to Prashanthi Nilayam” (p. 320 Sanathana Sarathi December 1991)
"The whole world will be transformed into Sathya Sai Organisation and Sathya Sai will be installed in the hearts of one and all." (Sanathana Sarathi, January 1999 - page 16)
"You are going to witness the divine glory of Swami unfolding in the days to come. He will attract the whole world. There won't be place for people to stand even. You can see it for yourself, what a great change has occurred during the last one month! All are getting attracted to Swami." Discourse 16 March 2003.

If one looks at any website which collects news items from the world, one will not find the name of Sathya Sai Baba there, (unless it is an Indian subcontinent news collection). Sai Baba’s usual pretense that the "whole world" knows about him, repeated yet again in the August discourse, is a directly laughable claim which would suggest how little he knows of the real world!
Despite his constant afro-frizz and orange robe and similar publicity gimmicks to promote himself, he was very far from being as oft-mentioned or anything like as recognisable as Queen Elisabeth, the Dalai Lama, Bishop Tutu, Nelson Mandela and he can't even measure his fame against David Beckham, Brad Pitt, Sean Connery, Stephen Fry or a host of celebrities! Did he actually think that more than a relative handful of the 1.4 million Chinese had even heard of him, or most of the world’s 2 billion Christians, 1 billion Muslims, not to detail countless others who care nothing for an Indian swami? If so, he is completely out of touch in an 'eternal omnipresent' cocoon of his own intense imagining.

Sai Baba 'Everyone loves me'

"In fact, there is no trace of hatred or enmity in Me at any time. I love all. That is why everyone loves Me." (Sathya Sai Speaks Vol. 36, p- 86 Discourse 06/05/2003 http://www.sssbpt.info/ssspeaks/volume36/sss36-10.pdf) "... nobody is against me. Everyone loves and none hates me." (p. 262) What did he believe, nobody? Yet he also denounced his many young male accusers (alleging sexual abuse by him) in public with an angry face, beating the lectern while so doing, claiming they lied for money! He later claimed: "There is no trace of anger or hatred in Me and hence everyone loves Me" (Sathya Sai Baba in his discourse 11th August 2001 in Sai Kulwant Hall, Prasanthi Nilayam).

He continued to try to dispel the massive and highly credible sworn evidence from a score of his sex victims with: "Strange rumours are spread at times. Someone says that Sai Baba is angry with X or Y. But I bear no ill will against anyone, and nobody is against me. Everyone loves and none hates me." (p. 262) and repeated this claim in several discourses. What does he say, nobody? But why then did he also say, "Disregard every manner of adverse comments" (adverse to what, to whom. Can you guess?) However, having himself abused many of his ex-followers as 'Judases' - and threatened them with lifetimes of shame - in his Christmas 2000 discourse Sai Baba goes on to say, "... we should disregard abuse and hold to our righteous ideals firmly." "Love even those who abuse you. I am a standing example of this." (p. 267) (What variety of abuses might he have in mind?) The gramophone record is stuck in the same old groove:

Sathya Sai also said a number of questionable things in the same discourse:-
"Today is Krishna Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna. I am making a promise today that the people of all the countries, viz. Pakistan, China, Germany, Russia will be united. That should be our goal. The goodness of

Bharat will lead to this unity." (p. 267 - Sathya Sai Baba’s Convocation Discourse 22-11-2008 at http://www.sathyasai.org/discour/2008/d081122.html). This makes any well-informed person think both how vague and how extremely unlikely Baba's 'promises' often are. Does he mean that through India’s offices all countries of the world will join in one union, like a glorified USA or EU? Devotees will doubtless interpret this prediction of the current alliance against terrorism between countries who now agree they are going to war against the terrorists.

But Sai Baba specifically included "the people of all the countries". Even Israel, Palestine, Irak, Iran? Would it were so! But even conveniently united efforts on the political scene against a common external enemy come and go according to circumstances… unlikely to last, as with everything, as I have heard said somewhere! So what does Sai Baba actually mean by Bharat? A non-existant country at present, only existing maybe in some distant past, or a future not yet here or in the imagination, even? Surely he can't be talking about the India we know of today, corrupt from top to bottom. How can such a nation, where most human rights are totally disregarded for the great mass of its population, conjure forth all this goodness that will unify the world? Well, only the Lord knows, what with the massive and blind retributive killings by Indian forces of innocents in Jammu/Kashmir and of Nagas in the East, with its persistent and repressive caste system, widespread colour discrimination, ever-repeated murdering of Dalits, Moslems, Christians, tribals and the still very widespread burning of brides, repression of women's rights, slavery of millions of landless bonded labourers and its ca. 20 million child labourers? It’s a nice thought, but is not Sai Baba fanciful now... or, as he says of his critics 'imaginative'?

Sai Baba also said other highly questionable things in his 2001 Krishna Birthday discourse, "Stones are thrown only on fruit-bearing trees. Similarly, good people receive brickbats." ( p. 267) Not only has Sai Baba held two infamous discourses throwing brickbats and false accusations at all those claiming he sexually abused them, but he also calls numerous individuals 'a bad man' in their absence (as I and many others report from group interviews). Often comparing himself to Jesus Christ, he presents himself as persecuted in the same way... by 'Judases'. Where is his sense of proportion, or the slightest modesty?

It is clearly seen how he promotes himself - his name and fame - and what he regards as 'his works' before all else. He claims contradictorily that his teaching is universal, not restricted to any religion, yet promotes himself as a Hindu reincarnation, which is rejected as false by Islam, Christianity, Buddhism. Judaism and so on. His acolytes are thus mentally blindfolded through the subtlest kind of indoctrination.
