The literal translations once posted by the 'Premsai group' of Sathya Sai Baba discourse translators were eventually disowned (in 2005) by the chief and key Telugu to English translator, Eileen Weed (aka 'Divya') as having been falsified as cover-up by the main group. On a site called 'premsai', students and others made complete, allegedly accurate translations of discourses given by Sathya Sai Baba between 2000 and 2003. The 'premsai' translations (removed from the Internet because the Sai authorities demanded it, were then saved and posted here in 2003). They were from Telugu to English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Romanian, Dutch, Swedish. There were constant and serious discrepancies between these documents - which were transcribed from recordings of spoken discourses in Telugu (and hence are not the copyright of the Sathya Sai Books and Publications Trust) and other versions of his discourses as edited, sanitised and published in the official Sanathana Sarathi journal. However, some of the original words of Sai Baba were so damaging that even these allegedly 'literal' translations were altered.

The academic Brian Steel analysed many of the discrepancies between the official version as published in Sanathana Sarathi or in the volumes of Sathya Speaks (which often differ from one another in content too). See his page Dossier 3: The Packaging of Sathya Sai Baba's Telugu Discourses and his contribution towards disclosure of full comparisons betweeN ALL the official Telugu recordings of SSB's Discourses and the edited print versions (found here)

In this page a few discrepancies and blunders are recorded using scans of the original printed materials, where possible.

Sathya Sai Baba was known to confuse facts and make errors in Sanskrit, as well as mixing up the names of people, including the ancient 'sages'or kings etc. to whom he constantly referred to support this own opinions. The following confusion is between Shivaji and Askoka:-
