A DEFENSIVE 'SAI DEVOTEE'

Someone hiding behind the cover name of "Seema denn" (e-mail visionsb@tstt.net.tt) attacked an ex-devotee of decades of experience and impeccable honesty who learned the truth about Sathya Sai Baba. This 'Seema' told him, "It shows your vast spiritual ignorance." This is surely the talk of a loving devotee, for it would at least help to bear out for once Sai Baba's absurd and supposedly universal 'teaching' that what you see in others is really only what you are yourself. Really, though... this is all the stuff that neurotics are made of. But for the depths of Seema's vague credulous hopes, how about this:-
"Do you remember that Jesus was hanged? It was by people like yourself who are too dense to feel divinity inside the human form. But this lord of lords did not come this time to be hung by petty people like yourself, this God being is here too stay. So try as you may this organisation keeps growing with tremendous force and your pettiness will not stop it."
Sensational news that Jesus was "hanged". Also that Sai Baba is "here to stay". But what happened to the capital letters in 'lord of lords'? However, perhaps she thinks Sai Baba needs her support, or why else write as she does? Well, it has long been known and shown that the 'data' sent out from the Central Office and International Chairman is massaged and doctored massively at each step of the reporting process and its successes are mainly propaganda without real substance.
Defecting office-bearers of the Sai Org. who worked long and hard are found in practically every country. The Sai Org. has dwindled mightily since 2000, especially outside India. In Western Europe alone the Sai Org. has seen a large fall of in followers and stagnant recruitment... some centres and groups have virtually been wiped off the map and ceased to fulfil the requirements to exist except on paper. The Sai Org. is also decimated in Australia, esp. among whites, that is. Despite all attempts. the Sai org. can't get any reputable Western university to house its repetitive and propagandising conferences... the latest fiasco having been its forced withdrawal of its Annual Conference originally contracted earlier this year with the University of Adelaide when they investigated the allegations properly.

One may not believe it, but this is what many devotees I have met actually believe. Because SSB has put this delusion around in various announcements he has made about the world coming to his feet, the world already becoming one big Sai Organisation and so on. If he were an avatar controlling the planet, how could he be making such a pig's breakfast of the job? India is one of the most truly terrible places on earth for its huge number of children in the slavery of prostitution, unstoppable epidemic of AIDS victims, bonded sweat-shop labour, for its vast number of paupers and illiterates still being driven to city slums for sheer survival. The corruption is enormous and is not diminishing. SSB can't stop India increasing its warlike attitude and military spending (eg. by 28% this year for its nuclear war capacity alone) or its rulers stashing away in Swiss banks an amount of money at least equal to the country's entire national debt, according to his own statements at a private dinner attended by a friend of mine! There he told this IAS official that he had told the Prime Minister and the President not to make so many super-expensive state visits with huge convoys of vehicles and hundreds of Black Beret commandos wherever they went. But, said SB, they go on doing it and do not listen to me. With population and poverty out of control, AIDS, corruption and poverty ruling large parts of Africa and Asia and so on. The world's wilderness environment and countless species and living resources are disappearing faster and faster, suffering and unnecessary death is as rife as ever, I watched SSB parading for two decades and I eventually learned from many inside contacts, investigation and analysis that he is far from being in control of almost anything he claims to be.
Worse still, SSB can't control his own sexual appetites... and anyone who wishes to know the facts should confront Mr. Al Drucker with questions as to what he has told privately about distraught parents of US devotees who visited him in his rooms at Prashanthi told him about their sons' being sexually assaulted by SSB. Nor could SSB stop the many financial kickbacks and embezzlements that have taken place under his nose by Col. Joga Rao, Mr. Suri, Mr. Narayanan, and various others who he has sacked from the Central Trust or other offices within his outfit. Sai Baba has little or no control over anyone who does not do what he says, even among the great majority of his blind followers.
