Resignation and closing of Center

Translation of a letter to the National President of the Sathya Sai Organization of Mexico

xxx, founder of the recently established Sathya Sai Center in Jamay, in the State of Jalisco, Mexico.

Presidente Nacional de la Organización Sathya Sai de México

Dear Luis,

It is with great sorrow that I send you this letter due to the situation that we are all going through.

I wrote to you almost four months ago in reference to a document with the title of "The Findings" by David and Faye Bailey, but this was only a start of what subsequently continued to come to my attention. I have received an immense amount of data and statements from different parts of the world, including Latin America, Spain, Holland, Sweden, Germany, etc. Asides from this, I have been in touch with friends and companions in New York, some of which I have known for over twenty five years. I can honestly tell you that I haven't stopped investigating, praying, meditating and contemplating during these months and have come to the decision that I simply can't continue this way.

It is amazing to observe the reactions and the different points of view and how one can't really go by any of them in their totality. One has to respect and be silent until one has come to his own conclusions, since, after all, that is what our inner God is for and our only real and true salvation is to be honest with ourselves and live our own truth. I realized this when I was fourteen years old, when I was still studying with the Benedictine monks, after a long stretch in a Jesuit boarding school.

The same decision that I took at fourteen, I am now taking at sixty four. The only difference is that before I didn't know that my answers were within.

The is why, my highly esteemed Luis, with great pain in my soul, I have to take the decision of separating myself and our group from the Organization and to live totally inside, in the conviction that that is the only real and true "abode of peace".

It is not my intention to judge the decisions others make, mine was difficult enough to understand and we have to also understand that each person has to decide for him/herself and that criticism or praise should not influence one in the least. As a matter of fact, I am amazed that the very devotees that lived by these teachings have gone to extremes of judgement and have made disparaging insults from one side as well as the other.

The respect and admiration that I have developed for you and your family and the work that you do together is not going to be altered in the least, we will just take different roads in total confidence that we will meet at the end in the common goal.

May the Almighty continue pouring His Blessings upon all of you.
In love and peace,
