Gokulam Shed

The Gokulam Dairy is the dairy farm and is situated about half a kilometre from Prasanthi Nilayam on the Puttaparthi Main Road. The cows of this dairy provide Prasanthi Nilayam, the Sathya Sai Hotels and the various schools with their milk.

The word ‘Gokulam’ is a Sanskrit word and means ‘abode for cows’.

Gokulam was also the name of Krishna’s village near Mathura.

Devotees may visit the small round shed, where they can admire a very nice statue of Krishna. In order not to disturb the cows, they may not visit the cows. Green beds behind the Gokulam are tended very well for nourishing the cows.
