The Hanuman Statue is a very recent addition on the slope of the hill behind Vidyyagiri. The height of this statue comes to 64 feet and is built of concrete. The statue represents Hanuman raising a hill. According the Ramayana story Hanuman was charged to take the so-called Sanjeeveni Booti (= life-giving grass) to Rama, in order to save Lakshmana’s life, who lay on the battlefield. Hanuman, who was not able to find the right plant, took the whole hill to Rama.

The Shiva Statue behind the stadium stands on the road to the top of the hill. Shiva sits in a meditation attitude. A waterfall behind Shiva gives a beautiful sight.
