Renowned Indian Editor VKN. Diary and Letter Scans Reveal

"VKN as V.K. Narasimhan was affectionately known, with rare courage stood up to Mrs Indira Gandhi and the Emergency rule she imposed on India, 1975-77. He succeeded Professor P.N. Kasturi as Editor of Sanathana Sarathi, Sai Baba’s official organ, which is distributed worldwide. VKN was well known among those close to Sai Baba as being an almost lone case of one who would regularly and forcefully stand up to him.

The committing of this material - a) scanned from the extensive Robert Priddy diaries and notebooks relating specifically and often daily to the time, and b) including exchange of letters between the two men - is valuable".

Note:  Robert Priddy was a devotee of Sathya Sai Baba for about 18 years. He was head of the Sathya Sai Sai Organization in Norway, and is a retired academic in philosophy and social science at the University of Oslo. He often contributed articles to Sanathana Sarathi, encouraged to do so by VKN, who held him in high regard both intellectually and as a close and trusted friend. He has brought the same outstanding commitment and personal sacrifice to surfacing the case against Sathya Sai Baba and those key leaders who so shamelessly cover up for him that he did to his duties in his decade and a half as a national leader of the Sathya Sai Organization.
