My favourite blogs on this site

19 July 2012

As the U.S. Presidential contest gains momentum, there has been talk of the Republican candidate, Mitt Romney, who needs to win over a wider range of his fellow citizens, choosing political celebrity Condoleezza Rice as his potential Vice-President. So far Dr Rice has said she is not interested in running for political office, and that usually the good appointments in her life have just happened to her. Well, if Romney were still to offer her the opportunity, I suppose that might be construed by some as having “happened” to her.

Be that as it may, the renewed interest in Dr Rice has attracted many new visitors to my blog article on her claims of fluency in Russian.

Although I would probably rate that piece as my eleventh favourite article, the reading public most definitely think otherwise. Of my 100+ blogs, this one has consistently been the most viewed over the past 4 years.

So, by listing my personal favourites, I would like to try to drum up more support for those blog subjects that I have found more satisfying to write about than Dr Rice. I shall probably succeed, but only for the usual publicity span of three or four days.
